Black Friday 3D Printer Deals 2026: Tested Picks on Amazon
Several of Tom's Hardware's top-rated 3D printers are sold on Amazon, and some are already below the prices their makers set at launch.
The bottom line
For a first printer, Tom's Hardware's picks sold on Amazon are the Creality SPARKX i7 Combo (best for beginners, four colors), the Anycubic Kobra X (best budget, four colors) and the Ender 3 V3 SE (single color, the cheapest of the three). Tom's Guide reported the Ender 3 V3 SE at $199 at Creality's own store early in Black Friday 2025. For resin miniatures, the Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra; for fast multicolor with little waste, the Snapmaker U1 tool changer, which Tom's Hardware lists at $999 retail. Last year the biggest Black Friday 3D printer cuts were on the makers' own stores, so compare before you buy.
3D printers to watch this Black Friday
Creality SPARKX i7 Combo (four-color)
Best for: Beginners who want multicolor without fuss
$349.00 on Amazon (checked Oct 30)
19% under Amazon's list price of $429.00
Why
- Tom's Hardware's Best 3D Printer for Beginners: simple to set up, quiet and fast, with a 21-minute Benchy test print
- Its CFS Lite color system is the easiest to maintain Tom's Hardware has used and takes any size of spool
- 260 x 260 x 255 mm build volume; Tom's Hardware lists the combo at $399 retail and $339 during its launch sale
Watch out
- The CFS Lite doesn't retract filament back onto the spools, per Tom's Hardware
- Creality sells several SPARKX i7 versions on Amazon (Combo, Nano Combo, single color); check you're buying the Combo
Anycubic Kobra X (four-color)
Best for: The lowest price for a four-color printer
$299.99 on Amazon (checked Oct 30)
35% under Amazon's list price of $459.99
Why
- Tom's Hardware's Best Budget 3D Printer, and the first budget pick that prints four colors out of the box
- In Tom's Hardware's head-to-head, it swapped colors in about 35 seconds against 90 or more for a Bambu Lab A1, finishing a 776-swap print 10 hours sooner
- Spools sit above the gantry, so there's no separate color box on the desk
Watch out
- Tom's Hardware found the spool holder guide makes loading awkward
- It still wastes filament on color changes, about 27% less than rivals in Tom's Hardware's tests
- Tom's Hardware gives a $279 launch price; compare it with Amazon's live price above
Creality Ender 3 V3 SE
Best for: The cheapest way to start, printing one color
$199.00 on Amazon (checked Oct 30)
9% under Amazon's list price of $219.00
Why
- Tom's Hardware's budget alternative: about 15 minutes to assemble, then it levels itself and sets its own Z height
- Up to 250 mm/s, faster than earlier Ender 3 models, per Tom's Hardware
- Tom's Guide reported it at $199 at Creality's store early in Black Friday 2025
Watch out
- No Wi-Fi, and the build plate is a cheaper PC-coated sheet, per Tom's Hardware
- Single color only; the 220 x 220 x 250 mm build area is smaller than the other printers here
Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra (resin)
Best for: Tabletop miniatures and fine detail
$299.99 on Amazon (checked Oct 30)
16% under Amazon's list price of $356.98
Why
- Tom's Hardware's Best Ultra High Resolution 3D Printer: 9K screen with 18-micron XY resolution
- Auto-leveling, tilt release, failure detection, resin level detection and a built-in camera
- Launched at a $338 list price; Tom's Hardware saw it at $269.99 at Elegoo's store
Watch out
- Prints are hard to remove with the default settings, per Tom's Hardware
- Small build area (153 x 77 x 165 mm); it's for miniatures, not big parts
Snapmaker U1 (four-toolhead tool changer)
Best for: Fast multicolor and mixed-material prints with almost no waste
$799.00 on Amazon (checked Oct 30)
6% under Amazon's list price of $849.00
Why
- Tom's Hardware's Best Multicolor 3D Printer: four print heads swap in about 10 to 12 seconds
- A three-color print with 90 swaps wasted only 4.4 grams in Tom's Hardware's testing
- Tom's Hardware lists a $999 retail price; compare it with Amazon's live price above
Watch out
- The enclosure top cover costs extra, per Tom's Hardware
- About 58 pounds, per the Amazon listing
Prices come from Amazon and are checked three times a day. Amazon's price at checkout is the one that counts.
Which one is right for you
| If you... | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| First printer, want color, don't want to tinker | Creality SPARKX i7 Combo | Tom's Hardware's pick for beginners: quiet, easy to set up and simple to keep running. |
| Want four colors for the least money | Anycubic Kobra X | Tom's Hardware's best budget printer, and much faster at color swaps than a Bambu Lab A1 in its test. |
| Just want to try 3D printing for under $200 | Creality Ender 3 V3 SE | Self-leveling and quick to assemble; Amazon's October price was already below last year's early Black Friday price. |
| Print tabletop miniatures | Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra | Resin printing with 18-micron detail; Tom's Hardware's top pick for resolution. |
| Print a lot in multiple colors or materials | Snapmaker U1 | A tool changer wastes far less filament than single-nozzle color systems. |
Where last year's best 3D printer deals were
In Tom's Guide's early Black Friday 2025 roundup, the biggest 3D printer discounts were on the makers' own stores: the Bambu Lab A1 Combo at $379 (from $599), the Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo at $459 ($290 off) and the Creality Ender-3 V3 SE at $199 ($20 off). Its editor didn't expect prices to drop further once Black Friday itself arrived.
So for 3D printers, check both Amazon and the maker's store. Amazon's prices on these printers move often, and some carry short 'Limited time deal' discounts.
Multicolor: three ways to do it
Most budget multicolor printers feed different filaments through one nozzle, cutting and purging between colors. That wastes filament and time. The Kobra X shortens the trip by putting its four-color system on the print head; in Tom's Hardware's testing it produced about 27% less waste than rivals.
A tool changer like the Snapmaker U1 gives each color its own print head, so there's almost no purge: 4.4 grams across 90 swaps in Tom's Hardware's test. It costs more up front and saves filament over time.
Resin or filament
Filament (FDM) printers like the Creality and Anycubic models melt plastic and suit toys, household parts and prototypes. Resin printers like the Mars 5 Ultra cure liquid resin with light and produce much finer detail, which is why Tom's Hardware recommends it for tabletop miniatures.
Check the exact listing
3D printer makers sell several versions under one name on Amazon. Creality lists the SPARKX i7 as a Combo, a Nano Combo and a single-color printer, and Anycubic lists several Kobra X variants, each at a different price. Check the version and what's in the box before you compare prices.
Each listing here is sold by the maker's own Amazon store.
Before you check out
- Decide on filament or resin first: toys and parts, or miniatures.
- Check the build volume against the biggest thing you want to print.
- Match the exact version (Combo, Nano, single color) to the price you're comparing.
- Compare Amazon's price with the maker's own store.
- Check what's in the box (spools, extra build plates) when comparing combos and bundles.
How we put this guide together
We don't test 3D printers. The picks are printers Tom's Hardware rates among the best in its 2026 guide, updated October 21, 2026, limited to models sold on Amazon by their makers. Test results and specs come from Tom's Hardware; last year's prices come from Tom's Guide's Black Friday 2025 roundup; listing details and today's prices come from Amazon, checked three times a day. We earn a commission if you buy through our Amazon links, which doesn't change the price you pay.
